I don’t use the word fabulous very often, but here it seems very appropriate. I saw this gorgeous lady heading into Balthazar for dinner and asked if I could take her photo. She was kind enough to post for a few shots while her family members stood and watched. She was visiting from Italy and when I told her that people would probably think she was famous her friends announced, ” She is famous.”

I saw this wonderful woman at the movie theater and asked if I could take her photo. She told me that she was 99 years old and has lived in Manhattan her whole life. Fania is a Fabric designer and has worked with many studios throughout her long career.She has had most of her clothes for many years and always dresses up. While standing on the street corner, she pointed out buildings to me, and told me stories about what they used to look like.

Wouldn’t this make a great Pepsi ad? I used to raid my grandfather’s closet when I was a kid and put together outfits just like this.
