Hands have the ability to tell stories. Tracing the lines down veiny landscapes reveal untold journeys of love, dance, and the performance that is life. When Karen Walker approached me about shooting her latest jewelry campaign on some of my favorite Advanced Style ladies, I knew exactly whom to call.
93-year-old Phyllis Sues, former star of the Ballet Russes, took time out of her busy routine which includes yoga, tango, playing piano and planning her next skydiving adventure to lend us a hand in modeling Karen’s classic jewelry designs.
Roberta Haze, 78, played a Shark in Westside Story on Broadway, costume designed for television and film, and currently acts and models while being the coolest great-grandmother in Venice Beach.
Each of these women has incredible stories to tell…
