I met Joe, a 93-year-old carpenter and birdie house maker, outside his apartment in Asheville, NC. He told me that he has had a great life and when it comes to his style, ” It all comes from Mother. I used to put on what dear old Mother told me and it has stuck over the years.”

I finally got to  meet up with  Rory Gevis and her fabulous 85-year-old mother Jeri Schindler, “The Diva of NYC” after several years of emailing back and forth. It was love at first sight. This mother-daughter duo are two of the most inspiring people I have ever met. It turns out Jeri was high school pals with our dear friend Lynn Dell Cohen!!!
