I have been a long time fan of Karen Walker eye wear, so I was thrilled when she approached me to shoot her latest campaign with some of the Advanced Style ladies. I cast some of my favorite women and shot all the photos in their own homes. I am proud to present The Karen Walker Spring 2013 Forever Campaign starring Ilona Royce Smithkin, Joyce Carpati, Linda Rodin and Lynn Dell.

Lina just sent me this great still, from the Advanced Style Documentary, of Ilona teaching painting class at the Provincetown Art Museum. I can’t wait until we can finally show everyone the full length documentary and share more of these wonderful ladies’ stories with the world. Ilona is a wonderful painter and teacher whose work and living spaces are just as colorful  as the wonderful outfits she puts together everyday.

A Very Busy Week

I went over to Ilona’s to check out her new feather gloves and chat about a big shoot we are working on over the weekend. There is so much happening in the world of Advanced Style this week including shoots for an incredible brand, working on The Advanced Style Coloring Book, interviews with the ladies, and we are getting ready to submit our documentary to festivals. I promise I will hit the streets in between all the wonderful chaos!!!

A Book Signing at LIM College

The Idiosyncratic Fashionistas and Debra Rapoport are rarely seen without hats.
It’s always so wonderful to have an excuse to party with the Advanced Style Ladies. This weekend LIM College invited me to speak on a panel about fashion blogging. After the panel we celebrated with a wonderful book signing party hosted by LIM. I usually have my big camera on me, but I decided to capture the evening’s style and conversation through my Instagram account.( For more photos on Instagram check out  my account @advancedstyle).

This Friday at 2pm I will be doing an informal signing of the Advanced Style Book at Strand Books near Union Square. Some of the ladies will be there too! Let me know if you can make it!!!
