The Joy of Color

I met Joy at a street fair in Lincoln Center dressed in the most wonderful colors. We stopped to talk for a moment about style and its affect on the people around us. Joy shared with me the following words:

My late husband grew to get my style although did ask why he never saw
anyone else who dressed like me.  I told him it was because I was so
unique. Being a widow now for more years than seems possible, I have
wondered if my manner of dress puts a lot of people off.  I might like to
meet someone, but will not change anything about myself to make it
happen.  It’s like breathing, in my world.  I couldn’t live without it.

At Lincoln Center

I met this striking woman while walking through Lincoln Center over the weekend. It looks like she could have just walked out of the pages of a  fashion editorial with her perfectly coiffed hair, incredible orange lenses, and beautiful suit and accessories. I love walking around the city and finding so  much inspiration on the streets. This woman is true original.

A Vintage Suit

I have run into Roz several times walking down Madison Avenue and she always looks perfectly elegant in a wonderful suit and hat. Roz told me a quick story when I asked to take her photograph. She said that her grandson asked her the other day why she was so different from all the other grandmothers. Roz answered, “Maybe its because I fee like I’m 35 inside.”
