Thanks to Dita Von Teese and her wonderful friends I was able to meet and photograph one of the most spectacular women in Paris. Mme Dominique Fallecker works at Didier Ludot a wonderful vintage shop where I met and interviewed her for a piece airing on Canal + tomorrow. Her spirit shines just as bright as her fantastic style. Paris à la Hanna Bernhard
I have been running around Paris, for the last few days, looking for great subjects for my book. Yesterday I met up with Nicole,71, the mother behind the fantastic jewelry line Hanna Bernhard. If you haven’t seen her site, you have to check it out http://french-bakelite.com/ . Nicole is wearing one of her daughter’s fantastic pins in the photo above. I’m off to shoot a little piece with Canal+, but expect some more great photos of Nicole at a later date.
Advanced Style in Paris
I am in Paris until Saturday, shooting for my book and the first person I happened to photograph is a woman from New York. It turns out she only lives a few blocks away from me! The New 90 Year Old
All of the ladies above are between 90 and 99 years old. They do pilates, go out dancing, and have busier social lives than I do. I have learned that the key to living a long happy life, is to stay active and interested in the world. These gorgeous ladies take away the fear of aging and give us all something to look forward to.
An Advanced Style Makeover
After my divine run in with the girls from England(check out yesterday’s post for the full story), I thought I’d brighten up Carol’s day with an Advanced Style makeover. Carol has been a bit down lately, so she decided to come to New York for her 66th birthday, in order to get re-inspired. Carol rarely wears color so after a trip to Debra’s, where we played with hats and put some bright make up on her, we headed over to Off Broadway Boutique. Lynn, Pat and the gang were ready to lend a helping hand for Carol’s final transformation.We were even able to convince her to put on a little color.What do you think of Carol’s new look?
