Carl Johan Gerlam sent us these great photos of his beloved father Ebbe Gerlam.He says, “One is taken in London at Spring and the other one is with the Christmas jacket on on Christmas eve.My dad has been working with tailoring and clothing in London, Paris and Gothenburg during his hole life. Though he is Swedish, he dresses like the perfect English gentleman.I want to honor him with these pictures, he is my eternal idol.”

Glenn Edward McDuffie and Edith Shain are the names of two of the most famous subjects in 20th century photographic history.Glenn, now 80 years old, and Edith aged 90, locked lips in Times Square, moments after it was heard that World War II had ended. Edith returns to the New York City to serve as grand marshal of the Veteran’s Day Parade.

I may be biased, but I find my twin uncles Edward and Andrew delightful in their trademark permutations on the jacket –patterned jersey – smart trousers theme. They were pretty neat dressers as children too, as the Second World War photo of them, plus teddy bears and RAF brother shows.”
