These ladies’ advanced style was unmistakeable, even from several yards away. The sun was flashing on their hats through the trees as they floated through Central Park when I finally caught up with them. I’m really into their matching silhouettes, and their quirky pooch makes me smile each time I see this pic.
Olivia and I thought this lady had a great look. She mixes warm colors and patterns and has the accessories to match.I’ve been a huge fan of flowered hats since the day that I first saw My Fair Lady, with my grandma.
New York make up artist, Joanna Lily, submitted this photo from a trip to Istanbul. These men were chatting outside of Topkapi Palace one summer evening and she was inspired to take their photo. I’m a big fan of plaid shirts and these fellows make them look great paired with a vest and hat.
This gentleman was enjoying a wonderful tradition of reading his Sunday paper in Central Park. He was nice enough to take a quick photo break, but didn’t have much time to chat in between scanning the headlines. Luckily, his style doesn’t need much explaining.
When I approached this lady about her wonderful look she told me that she was 75 and that she hoped I would tell young people to dress nicely. Briana and I asked her a few questions about her style inspiration and she answered, “I don’t go by style, I go by what’s comfortable and what looks good on me. Young people ask me where I got my coat and I tell them its 100 yrs old, all my clothes are from the 70s!”
It would be awesome to see today’s youth all dressed up like this, in fact I’ll have to go out and buy a new suit and hat!
