This woman looked radiant walking on Bowery in her colorful coat and coordinated hat and gloves. When I complimented her bag she replied,”Vintage of course”.
This lady stopped her tour group for a moment so I could take her picture. She gave me a great big hug and even modeled these fun red frames for me. I totally dig her style!

When I saw Ellen walking through Union Square, I was enchanted by her adorable stockings. She explained that she just saw them in a shop, liked them, and started wearing them! I was even more impressed when she told me that in the town she’s from in the Netherlands, she could never dress this way because the style is more conservative. The folks in her town should take a cue from her whimsical, inspired approach to style.
Come Autumn and there is always a lot of leopard print on the streets of New York. Lynn Dell Cohen, The Countess of Glamour, wears animal print, hear and there, all year long. She commented on the classic print,”Leopard isn’t the new black, it’s not the new anything. Leopard is Leopard and it will always be in style no matter what.” Well there we have it!!!

Break
out the Bolly sweeties! There is indeed something to celebrate in
these waning days of winter. NARS and Marc Jacobs have made a quantum
leap into the future of beauty in their decision to hire two women who
have been worshipped since they were young.
Charlotte Rampling, 68,will be the face of NARS. Jessica Lange, 64, will be the face of Marc Jacobs.
For seasoned women, women who threw caution to the winds in the 60’s and
70’s and lived a life where they took chances, and as they were doing
that, remembered to put on some lippy, seeing the divine Miss Lange and
the supreme Miss Rampling in every magazine from New York to Timbuktu
will be a triumph of age over youth.
Seniors
they are not. And while we’re at it let’s banish that hateful word to
describe women over fifty. Ramplng and Lange are goddesses as are we.
